Venue: Tamworth Beekeeping Supplies, 397 Armidale Rd. 9.00am to 4.00pm both days

Advanced workshop fee: $220 per person GST free

Hive inspections to identify problems/issues and suggested actions.

This will include seasonal management of hives which incorporates nutrition, swarming, requeening, combining, and aggressiveness.

If you have a particular issue or question that you would like addressed email it through and Allen will include it in the days agenda.

Participant numbers are limited to allow for individualised learning and hands on experience.


Beginner workshop Fee: $365 per person, GST free
Includes a copy of The NSW Healthy Bee Book plus you will assemble a frame and extract some honey to take home.
Fully catered by our hosts, Tony and Tracey If you have any special dietary requirements or need motel info [2 motels walking distance] Please ask me.
A bee suit can be provided for your use when working hives but bring your own if you have one.
This two day workshop is a series of lectures and practical tasks. The course endeavours to develop sufficient knowledge, skills and confidence for you to begin keeping bees.
Allan, your facilitator, has had approximately 40 years bee keeping experience. As an Agricultural Science teacher, he was recognised with a National Excellence in Teaching Award. He was also the NSW DPI “Beginning in Bees” trainer for northern NSW for many years.
